West Lothian Council operates a large number of different types of vehicles which deliver a wide range of services. As a result council vehicles are seen frequently, are very visible and play an important role in communicating with our customers.
The visual identity applied consistently across all vehicles helps to strengthen and build our reputation and image. All vehicles will have different technical and safety requirements but there are also visual identity principles which should be applied, as illustrated in the following example.
Full guidance for vehicle design can only be given if all technical factors are known therefore the following illustration demonstrates visual principles only.
We are able to brand some of our vehicles with an appropriate council message.
Messages should be clear, brief and long lasting – van wraps can last up to three years so are not suitable for short lived messages.
